vlookup formula

HI,

Hope you are all doing fine.

Normally we vlookup formula will work towards right , Is there anyway to put a formual towards left?

Left lookup is usually done using INDEX and MATCH. See example below:

B9 is =VLOOKUP(A9,A3:B6,2,FALSE)

E9 is =INDEX(D3:D6,MATCH(D9,E3:E6,0))
