Hello, so I have 1 data table with "equipment ID's" column A, and another column B with "dates", all on sheet1. This sheet1 is effectively a master list of all the equipment. I have a customer request of dates for equipment id's on sheet2, but they only bought a portion of the equipment. I need to use a vlookup to have the portion of equipment ID's on sheet2 to coorespond with dates from sheet1.

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Looks like you want...

B2, Sheet2
Code:
=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$100,0)),
   INDEX(Sheet1!$B$2:$B$100,MATCH(A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$100,0)),"")
