Hi Everyone:

I'm pretty new to excel and have a basic understanding but no experience writing formulas, etc.

I have a spreadsheet with 115k rows and columns out to AL. The sheet contains a mix of text and dates, dollar values, etc.

I have a list of 110 business names which we don't want to do business with anymore. These names will appear multiple times within the 115k rows.

The data I'm trying to compare is the two business names and where they match return.

The business names is in column AF, the dollar values are in column AG and the list of business we don't want to work with are in Column AM

I need to generate a report which will extract the names of those business's we don't want to work with and the total dollars values we have paid to each business.

I've tried to use Vlookup but can't get it to work. I'm lost and have to have the report done by end of day today.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Since you have the list of names, no need to vlookup them in a table with repeated values, yet sum those values.
Try = SUMIF(AF:AF, AM2, AG:AG)
=SUMIF(range , criteria , sum_range)
