Hi Guys,

Looking for an easy answer -hopefully,

A1 = R1000

B1 - B7 = 1-7

I want to be able to enter a formula into D1 to lookup A1 and return the 5th result in column B

Does this make sense?

Hi Gaz,

A1 = R1000 and the data in B1-B7 relates to this code (please bear in mind that A2-A7 is blank)

If i use the Vlookup function the return the data in B1 then it will return the date in B1 but i infact want the 2nd instance,

You really need to post a sample of your data.
So far you say you want to lookup R1000, where is it looking for a match?
