Good afternoon,I've a problem with VLOOKUP function. I search from one file in another file values base on a lookup_value. But after I choose lookup_value and try to mark table_array in another file, in this second file doesn't appear VLOOKUP fuction with this array in function row, but there appears a value of top left cell of the choosen array. Is there a problem in format in the second file, or is there another setting of this file in Excel Option?Could you help me with this please.Thank you for you help in advance.MiStr.

Hi

Could you post the VLLOKUP formula you are trying to use - are you trying to reference an Excel table (an actual 2010 table) in a closed target file?

Sounds like the 2 books are opened in seperate instances of Excel.

To resolve..

Open the first book.
From within the first book, click File - Open - browse to and open the 2nd file.

Now it will behave the way you expect when creating a formula in the 1st file and moving to the 2nd file.
