I am having some issues with my VLOOKUP and can not seem to solve the issue. The situation is I have a cell in sheet 1 that has a drop down list of descriptions which is from the table i have shown below. This drop down cell "source" (i.e. the table below) is in sheet 2 and this is what I am using for my VLOOUK.

The VLOOKUP works perfectly i.e. when select a pipe from the drop down list in sheet 1 it gives me the data I want, however it only works upto Pipe 900mm, should i then select 1050mm Concrete Pipe the data it provides me is the information for the 100mm Clay Pipe i.e. the very first row.

The VLOOKUP formula I am using is =VLOOKUP(Manholes!F5,$M$3:$Q$19,2) Manholes!F5 is the sheet 1 where my drop down menu is and sheet 2 is where my VLOOKUP table and formula is.

Is it something to do with the Data names?? I thought it might have something to do with the fact the top row data is 100mm Caly Pipep and has a 1 at the beginning as does the rows I am having problems with 1050, 1200 etc. But it works fine for the two different type of 300mm pipe so it can't be that? Any help or suggestions are welcomed. Thank you in advance.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
I do not believe it, thank you very much for replying.

I have been on racking my brain and searching the web for about two hours trying to work out the problem and I just needed to add FALSE!! I am a gold fish trying to swim in an ocean!

Just out of interest before I put false in why did it work for only part of the table?

If you specify TRUE or omit the 4th argument VLOOKUP returns an approximate match. Specifying FALSE makes VLOOKUP search for an exact match.
