I have worked in vlookup land for years and this is something new that I cannot figure out! I have applied a standard vlookup formulas to a very large set. I am trying to copy and paste the formula down the page. When paste the formula to the following rows, the result is the value of the copied cell and not the true value of the lookup. My first thought was to see if i should paste special and that did not work either. what am i doing wrong? The below example shows my primary look up table which has my table in numerical order in column A, the lookup value is in column F (6), and column M (Portfolio) should be the correct result. You'll notice that the first row is correct and when i copy and paste to the following row/s, it copies the value not the correct Portfolio. What in the world am i doing wrong!?
