vlookup problem

I am trying to match data from a customer to data dumped from my ERP. My vlookup fromula returns the value #N/A for records I know should work.

I have tried the recomended microsoft fix (place a 1 formatted as general in an empty cell and then use the multiply option from paste special). This does not work.

The funny thing is, if I re-key the lookup_value manually, the formula returns the value I am looking for.

Anyone have an answer?

In one worksheet I have the vendor data. The part number is in column B. In another worksheet (SW Dump), I have my ERP data. The part number is in column B. The value I want returned is in column C of the SW Dump worksheet.

=VLOOKUP(B365,'SW Dump'!$B$2:$C$14044,2,FALSE)
