Vlookup problem

I have a vlookup formula that returns an #N/A. I think it is because the value I'm looking up is the result of "LEFT" formula, becuase if I simply enter a number where the formula is I get the desired result. How can I keep the LEFT formula and make the vlookup work?

Note: I already tried changing the format of the LEFT cell to TEXT etc to try to get it to work.

Thanks in advance.
