Vlookup Problem

Hi,

Hope someone can help. I have a cell A2 (product code) that refers to another cell in another spreadsheet. ='Test TY £'!A2

This cell (A2) is then used in my Vlookup formula to find that product code in another spreadsheet.

However, it returns N/A# when it shouldn't. I do not want to copy and paste special the values as I do need to keep the ref i.e.='Test TY £'!A2

Any way around this other than having a column with the values and hiding that column?

Regards

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Are there maybe leading spaces somewhere in the data? Or is one formatted as a number and the other formatted as text maybe?

What is the value that is in A2 currently?
