vlookup problem

Is it possible to direct vlookup to a cell on another workbook (which includes a file path) but have vlookup go into that filepath and pull data from that work book?

Basically, I have workbook with all important file paths in.
I need to pull data from all of these separate paths in my workbook.

Im really stumped on this one! and cannot continue until it is resolved

Yes, it's possible. The easiest way is to open the source workbook and enter your formula by pointing at the ranges with your mouse. But you can't do it with INDIRECT and a file path, because that expects the workbook to be open
