Vlookup returning correct value then erasing

I have a Vlookup Formula ,=VLOOKUP($B$5,Sheet3!$A$1:$J$12,2,FALSE), it is returning the correct value to my cell, but is then erasing the formula and displaying the result as text.
To clarify, $B$5 is a drop down menu that the user can select a month from.

e.g $b$5 selects the month January, cell A7 returns a value of "check security log", which is the correct vlookup term
$b$5 is then changed to february, cell A7 remains on "Check security log" and doesn't change to its correct term "update task log". When you click on Cell A7, check security log is there as text and not as a lookup result.

I have sorted the Vlookup array alphabetically so i am now stumped as this worked previously.

TIA

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
If a formula is being converted to hard-coded text automatically, I suspect that VBA is involved (it is the only way I know of to do that).
Go in to the VBA Editor, and look in the Sheet module (for the sheet that it is happening in), and take a look at any VBA code in there.

Joe, That would make sense as the data is then being displayed in textboxes on a VBA userform. Now need to figure out a way to get the info on the userform without using textboxes i guess.

Thanks for your help
