hi,

i'm having a problem using vlookup to return a text string. I can find the text no problem but when the vlookup returns the text string it removes all formatting of the text.

Some of the text I need to lookup also has is multi-format:
eg. "The BIG red cat"

Does anybody know a way to run some type of look up which returns not just the values but also the formats on a text string?

any help will be much appreciated.

cheers

j.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Sorry Jim but VLOOKUP only returns values not formatting.:)
