Vlookup to carry formatting with it

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to have a vlookup bring the formatting in along with the result? For example, if the result column on my "source" worksheet is colored red, when my vlookup on another sheet finds a match & produces the answer from the result column, can it be colored red, too?
