Vlookup to return values only

Hello,
Is it possible to create a vlookup formula that only returns the values? Or, do I have to copy the result and paste as values?

Here is the current formula I'm using.
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(G222,B:C,2,FALSE),0)

if you mean if Vlookup also can return a text, the answer is yes.

I'm wanting the formula to essentially stop working after it has returned the value. So if my vlookup formula returns the value of "6", then I want that cell to only show "6" and no longer be a functioning formula.

That would require VBA code that would replace the formula with the hard-coded value.
We would need something to "trigger" this macro to run, presumably a value being entered/changed in cell G222.
Is that value entered manually?
Also, what cell is this VLOOKUP formula found in?
