Hello guys! I have a question regarding using vlookup with 2 matches. I want to return a value Z if Value X is in A1, and Value Y is in B1, I want to return the Z that is in C1. I understand how to do this with 1 condition, but is there a way to do it with 2?

any help would be rockin

thanks

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.

You can either concatenate data from two columns and use Vlookup or and Index/Match combination. Can you post some sample data and expected reults. Or search the board for multi key lookups.

Thanks so much for the formula fairwinds, however it seems to really tax the system when I use it. I actually have over 1500 of them now in this one sheet I'm using, and it takes almost 30mins to compile. Is there any faster way to do this? heres the breakdown of what I'm trying to do

A B C-Z
phonenumber midnight-12:30 various data
phonenumber 12:30-1am

I'm matching and returning half hourly data on different phone numbers, so you can see why there would be so many. Is there a better way to do this type of mass matching?

Thanks again for your help.
