is there a way to do a vlookup with more than one cell reference for example maybe I need to look up jon smith 'A2' and have a second cell reference may be Date in 'B2' and find the match in a range. I do it know but I concatenate to pieces of information to make a unique record.

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi

If you want to apply conditions to a search like vlookup and you are searching text or looking-up tables with numerical values where conditions may meet multiple times, use INDEX/MATCH.

Hope this helps
