I have the below problem analyzing a bank movement

mDKq9gZ.png

I want to filter out all JOHN payments but as you can see the amount is out of sync with the term 'john' by 6 rows. This pattern is consistent throughout the spreadsheet. How can I quickly filter all John payments?
I was thinking some sort of vlookup function with rows offset by 6, but how?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

=INDEX($D$2:$D$100,MATCH("John",$B$2:$B$100,0)-6)

Hey thanks. It works but there are two problems with this, hope you can help:

1. The formula returns error when the term "John" is used. It returns the correct number when I use the cell reference instead, i.e. B8. Any reason?

2. When I drag down the formula it collapses (always brings the number 5000). This formula is used for only one match? Remember I need all payments from John...

Thanks

P.S. I actually found a primitive method to filter this. I simply insert 6 cells on top of column D so that John and the amounts are aligned and then use proper filter... I like the formula though, if it can be extended to return multiple values by dragging down.
