Hi,

Not sure exactly what will work here, but I basically need the following:

Look up the value in F1 in A2:A4
If a match is found check:
IF the date in B2:B4 is => G1
AND the date in C2:C4 is <= H1
where both are true SUM the relevant values in column D (D2:D4)

I've attached a jpeg of what the outcomes should be to my dropbox as it might make it easier to understand

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Which version of Excel are you using?

If XL2007+ you can use sumifs

=SUMIFS(D2:D4,A2:A4,F1,B2:B4,">="&G1,C2:C4,"<="&H1)

Otherwise, sumproduct will work

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A4=F1),--(B2:B4>=G1),--(C2:C4<=H1),D2:D4)
