Hi there

I was given this formula to search a worksheet against a cell.

=ISNUMBER(MATCH(A1,'Sheet1!$A$2:$A$606,0))

How do i now change the formula so that the data to the right (or left) of the column that i am seaching, is entered in the cell rather than just true or false.

i was using =VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$606,2,0) -but its not working.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

One of:

[1]

=INDEX(Sheet1!$B$2:$B$606,MATCH(A1,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$606,0))

[2]

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!$A$2:$B$606,2,0)
