DEAR ALL

how can i collect data in sheet by using vlookup from a particular work book/s without opening that/those workbook/s for example

in sheet1 i have serial no. 272 to 280 and i want its purchase figure from a particular work book that contain purchase figure of said serial no. how can i import that purchase data by using vlookup or any other suitable formulea
