Is it possible to run a VLOOKUP or other formula to compare two worksheets, then if Cell A is present in both of them return the whole row on a third sheet?

Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I have one workbook with 3 sheets. One for outstanding, one for daily report, and one for results.
each sheet will have about 1500 with the following numbers:
2013-03-22-15.15.52.219000</SPAN>
</SPAN>
N</SPAN>
8501</SPAN>
This is now ready</SPAN>

<TBODY>
</TBODY>

I then run a report (below)that I want to match with the above but my report does not have the last column, which are notes. I want to compare the two reports and if the first cell matches (like my examples do) return the above row to the third sheet.
If theres no match like below, then return the new row to the third sheet.

If two sheets would be enough to do this it would even be better.

Hope this helps

the notes are manualy entered on the first sheet. The second sheet is a report that changes every day, and has no notes.

The first sheet has the outstanding items from the previous day. on the second sheet is the current day's outstanding items, what I want is to be able to show the previos days work plus any new work without changing the notes that have been added.
