Want to count of data from Multiple List

Hi All,

I have a huge list consisting of 44246 data where I have multiple company name. when I am going to do advance filter on company name it takes a lot of time and excel is not responding.
Is there any way to get the count of company names? for example if I company name Cisco, Inc in A1 ,A5, A10, A26 it will show A1 as 1, A5 as 2, A10 as 3 and A26 as 4.

so that I can filter only 1 and prepare the list.

Please help!

if you want a count of how many times a company shows up you could just use the formula

=countif(highlight area with company names,"Cisco, Inc")

yes I have done this trick and it is showing me 21. but I do not want that.

what I want is if cisco, Inc. is A1 it will show 1
then 2 then 3
and at last it will show 21.

I want this count so that I can take out only 1
