I have a spreadsheet that automatically sends e-mails out based on a due date. (Thanks to BrianExcel for his help on this!!)

The issue I am having now though - is I get this message: "A program is trying to send a message on your behalf..." and then the options to ALLOW or DENY.

So I've tried to lower my settings, added the file to my trusted publishers, tried to find code to drop in the VBA like set warnings FALSE - but nothing works. There is a help option that tells you to update your virus software, but where I work, it does that automatically.

Is there a way around this??? Becasue I have 33 e-mails that are sent out and I'll need to ALLOW for each one.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Welcome to the Board!

Take a look at Outlook Redemption.

I've been using it for years, and it's best way around that particular issue. But it is an add-in, so you might need to get IT approval to install it.

Thanks Smitty - So I work for the state here in California, and this is totally safe to download?

Like, I'm not going to see any black vans pull up with IT goons coming in to arrest me for an illegal downlaod, am I?

Just to be safe - I checked with the HELPDESK here, I don't think they'll let me add this.

Any other way around? code perhaps?

Yes, it's totally safe. It was written by a Microsoft MVP.

Dimastr is a US based software company owned and run by Outlook-MVP Dmitry Streblechenko which focusses on development tools for Microsoft Office Outlook.

The tools developed by Dimastr have often formed the basis of or support for developing add-ins for Microsoft Office Outlook by other software developers.

Microsoft MVP's are held to a pretty high standard, so if there was anything malicious about it, then he'd get booted from the program in a heartbeat. I can give you links to the MVP program if the IT department needs more substantiation, but I've never had a problem with it. In fact, I can think of a couple of state agencies (in California) that use it.

EDIT:

Any other way around? code perhaps?

Not to my knowledge, but I've relied on this for years, so I haven't looked recently.
