way to keep formulas as you copy them from tab/sheet to other tabs/sheets?

Whenever I copy data + formulas from one tab/sheet to another, my hope is always dashed as I see #REF! instead of seeing the formula from the other tab/sheet for reference so I can change it for the cells on the new tab/sheet.

Is there any way to specify to Excel to retain this as you copy? Thanks. :)

Would this be the same cells on each sheet?

I am thinking the INDIRECT() function may help with this.

If you are unsure about the indirect, post your formula.
