I'm trying to automate a few reports in excel. We use this web app called Blue Data Minor to access the data and I've been using Web Query's to make it easier.

I've been using .iqy files directly and VBS from Excel to create and execute the .iqy files with good success.

Today I found out the .iqy file returns different data than when I download the data from the database using Blue Data.

Here's where it kills me... If I take the URL from the .IQY file and paste it into Internet Explorer it gives me different results than if I run it from the .iqy file, AND if I use Get External Data and navigate to the same page.

I've played with the paramaters in the .iqy file and can't find out why I'm getting different results.

Is there anything anyone knows about with .iqy files where you get different results?
