I am using a date by month setup as one of my filter fields in a pivot chart. It displays the weeks in my chart by number (example The first week in January displays as a "1" instead of using dates. I was hoping to be able to use this field to list the dates included in my report automatically instead of me manually adding them(writing). I am very new to access pivot charts, so please excuse my ignorance. Any suggestions?

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Tried to come up with same results by creating a Pivot Chart of my own. Can't reproduce your issue.

Can you tell us the fields you are using, what data is in these fields and where you are drag/dropping them in the Pivot Chart build process?

This chart is being used in a manufacturing downtime database.

The field usuage breakdown is below:

The Data Field: Sum of Minutes Down

The Filter Fields: Shift, Container Size, Department, Equipment LineNo, (Date by Week (problem area)).

Series Field: Filler Line No.

Category Area: Equipment Name, Fault Category, Fault Reason

If you would like I can create a copy and strip most of the downtime master recording table and send it too you. Our current log is over 4,000 lines long.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner.

If you could send me a sample of your data, I will work on this for you.
Send file to booismycat@hotmail.com
