Hi,

I have the following table:

DateWeek
3/1/2022
Jan Week 1
12/1/2022
Jan Week 2
5/2/2022
Feb Week 1
4/3/2022
Mar Week 1

I have the dates in the first column. In the second column, I am trying to name the week based on the date. For example 3/1/2022 is Jan Week 1.

Is it possible to do this with a formula ? Appreciate all the help.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
difficult discussion similar to the iso weeknumbers, what's the first week in a month ?
- the first monday is the start of week 1 of that month
- you cut the week in to parts, and week 1 start at the 1st of that month
- you do ISO and the major part of the week (check the thursday) determines the weeknumber.

Hi,

If the date falls within Mon- Sunday, we can take it as the first week and similar to subsequent weeks.

Is this possible ?

so the first day of your weeks is the monday and if the 1st of the month is a sun or mon then that one is week 1, otherwise 1 week later.
The boys/girls, with a better knowlegde for LET-functions, can do this within a second.

My apologies. As long as the day is going into the next circle of Monday to Sunday, can we categorize it as the following week ? In this case we categorize it as week 5?
