Hello all

I have a find function. It is looking for ".xls" in a file name. One cell looks up the filename another does the find function. I will call them CellA and Cell B
so,
<code>
CellA has formula =CELL("filename")
CellB has formula = FIND(".xls",CellA)
</code>

Now, this was working at one time but Cell B comes up with an "Value" error. If I highlight the formula in cell b and press "crt" and "=" and force the formula to caclule, it works.

Any ideas , thanks a lot I am confused!
