Seriously the weirdest and stupidiest thing I have ever asked! In excel, word, & outlook when I highlight a sentence or phrase and hit the backspace button it doesn't erase what I had highlighted. Also if I highlight a phrase and try to type over it it doesn't work either......it works everywhere else just not in excel, word, and outlook....WTF! I tried googlin it, i tried rebooting, I tried punching my keyboard to make sure no keys were stuck but it obviously has to be a setting in the microsoft progs but I have no clue!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
In Word, click (from the toolbar) Tools , Options then click the Edit tab, there should be an option called Typing replaces selection. tick this box.

I presume the same applies to Excel and Outlook

Cheers
