Hi there,

A picture paints a thousand words, googling has returned nothing of use to me.

I can't delete rows with a dot in column A, it returns an error,

Its driving me mad, can anyone offer up a solution??

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
It's really more of a warning than an error. I have a few files prone to this, generally ones with a lot of data in them. I usually just hit okay, and I think you can just check the "Don't show this again" checkbox to get rid of it.

Thanks, i would have done but i get another error that says the operation can't be performed.

Mainly wondered what causes the DOT,

I have overcome the problem by copying th data into a new worksheet, and just pasting, values, formatting and formulas.

I guess they may have links or some other hidden stuff going on.
