what day is it

above is what is see in a cell, these dates and times are in coulmn "B"
in coulumn "C" i only want to see what day of the week it is.

in cell C1 i have "=b1" , how might i format coulmn "C" to only show the day? mon , tue , wed , etc...

any ideas?
