Which function do I need to use for this?

-I need a function that find the highest value that is in a specific cell on multiple sheets and put the highest value onto the 1st sheet.

Thanks for the help in advance

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Consider the following:
=MAX(N(INDIRECT("'"&ShtList&"'!A8")))

"ShtList" is the name of the range that lists the sheet names
A8 is the cell on each sheet that has the value
N.B. This formula is array entered with Ctrl+Shift+Enter not just Enter

or with Threed THREED from Mr. Longre's add-in Morefunc

=MAX(N(THREED('1:12'!A8)))

Or if you wish to put a sheet named Start in front of the relevant sheets and a sheet named
End after the relevant sheets, use

=MAX(N(THREED(Start:End!A8)))

Try something like this...

Return the max value from cell A1 on sheets Sheet1, Sheet2 and Sheet3.

=MAX(Sheet1:Sheet3!A1)
