What is the max number of characters for a cell in a pivot table? I have a spreadsheet that has cells with more than 256 characters, but when I generate a pivot table, the pivot table cell representing the > 256 characters in the source is chopped off at 256. I suspect that 256 may be the max # of characters for a pivot table cell, but I may be doing something wrong which is limiting the pivot table cell to 256 characters.
