What stops auto fill working

Hello all ,
I'm trying to use auto fill in its normal way , where you ,
Highlight col
Ctrl +G
Special
Blanks
OK
Then it starts going thru a random selection looking at cells . i can see this happening in the pane directly under the word clipboard . Top left in excel .
It tells me no cells found .
I had this working but am getting this all the time .
I also had a macro written which worked but now just auto fills only row 2 cell and fills to bottom which should be finding all other cells to auto fill . Confused . what might i be doing wrong .

Just trying to guess, maybe the cells in the range are not really empty (maybe they have non-printable characters).
Elsewise, to verify, an example of the data (without sensitive information) is needed.

Cant download XL2BB , doesn't seem to be extracting as it did the other day , I open options , add-ins but its not there , I did delete previous as asked to , will keep trying , thanks .

Sorry but XL2BB is useless in this case. Contents of real cells are need. By the way, does this issue happen in a new clean file ?

Ok , I will try more , can you tell me where to go to give you contents of real cells , what do I download etc. , yes have tried multiple times in a new sheet .
I used Char to clean up the cols but that did not work either .
