Now, I tried to use sumif or somproduct before using index match function but I am not getting the return value i was hoping for... I could easily just use =sum() but wanted to know if there is any way.......

Alpha

Bravo

</tbody>

Please advise. Thanks,

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Hi,

try this , Ctrl+Shift+Enter NOT just Enter
change the range as needed

=SUM(IF($A$3:$A$5="Alpha",IF($B$1:$AH$1=2013,$B$3:$AH$5)))
