Ok, so...
I use an Excel spreadsheet to connect to a database and populate results into a sheet. It's effectively a mechanism to let users see what's in the database without going near an SQL window or anything like that.
It's really useful, as it means we can store data on a database that people can see without doing anything techie, and we don't need to do anything complicated like set up a web portal.
However, the person that worked here before me has decided to call these things "EWOKs" - I guess it stands for something but that little nugget of knowledge is lost...
I am writing up documentation (the person that worked here before didn't write any) and keep cringing every time I write the word EWOK, which is a lot. What's a better name for this type of Excel sheet? I don't like "Viewer" or "Data Pane". I want something simple but catchy.
What do you guys think?
