whats wrong with this IF formula?

Hi,

Ive typed this formula which basically looks for a value in the G2 (using the indirect function) and then if D2 is greater than the value, shows B2, if it doesnt it produces a blank.

=IF(D2>(INDIRECT(G2)), B2," ")


Is there anything glaringly obvious with it.

G2 = 5
D2 = 10
b2 = aba

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Why are you using INDIRECT? Remove it and see what happens.
