When I click the SAVE button the numbers change

I am selecting a large group of numbers from a large amount of columns and rows. I use the Auto button that includes all the solutions that I need. I put each solution in a separate column and then select the whole thing again and put the next solutions in the column just before the previous one and so on. I have five columns worth of data.

The farthest column to the right is the first column I get the answers for....It is the "Count Numbers" solution...The column just to the left of that one is the "AutoSum" solution....The column just to the left of that one is the "Average" solution....Then the "Max" and then the "Min".

Of these 5 columns, the "Count Numbers", "AutoSum" and "Average" all change there values when I hit the SAVE button. The "Max" and "Min" are not affected.

Yes, I do have the "Calculations Options" button set to "Manual".

This problem just started a few days ago and I have no clue what I did.

I am attaching a screen shot of the before and after. The five columns on the right are the originals before SAVING....The columns on the left are after SAVING....

Thank you for your time and help!!!!

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Yes, I do have the "Calculations Options" button set to "Manual".

Excel does a recalculation whenever you save whether you have Calculations set to Manual or Automatic.

Is the change in numbers what you would expect if you did a calculation, or are the numbers changing to something else?

Unfortunately, in common with many organisations, file-sharing sites are blocked by the firewall, so I can't view your worksheet.

If you hit 'recalculate' before the save, do the numbers change as a result? (This is essentially the same question that JS411 asked.)

If you hit 'recalculate' again after the save, do the numbers change again? Do they change every time you do a 'recalculate'?

Do you use random number functions anywhere, or functions that are derived from the time or anything else which changes from moment to moment (like an external data feed)?

Thank you for the reply! The numbers are changing to something else for no reason. I input all the numbers manually and then capture them. I have always used the AUTOSUM button with the other calculations such as AVERAGE and COUNT NUMBERS and nothing ever changed when I hit SAVE. There is no reason for changes.

Thank you for reply also.....The only recalculate option that I see on the program is CALCULATE SHEET. I hit that and the numbers change just as they do when I SAVE.

I hit Calculate Sheet after the save and nothing changed.

There is no external data feed that is connected to Excel. I input the numbers and then use all the automatic functions to do my calculations.

Here is the link to the actual Excel sheet that I am working on. If you do what I do with the calculations, you will see what I mean.

Here is the file......

Thank you so much for your help!

You have "Recalculate before saving" checked in excel options, so that's what it's doing.

Doesn't need a shared file to figure that out, as Ruddles said, many can't download from sharesites anyway.

Send him a link to this thread and suggest that he refunds the money!

Failing that, please publish his name. < -- Hopefully he'll read this. :)
