When pasting links - do not display blank cells with a zero

I'm pasting cells as a link in another spreadsheet. Cells with no value in the source display as a zero in on the destination sheet.

I know I can get rid of zero's in the Tools - Options menu but I don't really want to do this as some values are actually zero and I want these to display.

Does anyone know a way to prevent these blank cells appearing as a zero when linked?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

Thanks for the response. That definitely works but is there an easier way as I'm dealing with quite a large volume of data!

In the custom format area: In the Type box, type 0;-0;;@

You can apply this format to your selected cells.
