Could you tell me the formula to use in ranking, i will specify, on the spread i have multiple rows with names, based on 2 totals example Total P and Total bb these totals will determine the rank of names and automatically put the names in order according to the to totals, the total for P is manually put in and the total for bb is manually put in.

Hi, mooney. Welcome to the Bored.

As Erik suggests, Sort seems to be the Tao; either manually or via a macro.

But, if you have the numbers in two different columns, that may present a problem. Would the same row have numbers in both columns? If not (if one cell has a number and the other one has zero or is blank), then use a new column and add the two cells together, then sort on that column.

It would be helpful if you could give us some sample data, and how you would like the data to be arranged after the sort.

Can you image how frustrating it can be trying to solve a problem for somebody and then find out that what you were attempting was already answered in another post by the same Original Poster?

why did you repost the question ?

if you do not get replies you can always add some information replying to your own question
