Hi clever Excel people;

I have a drop down menu in column B which returns a "yes" or "no" only.

if "yes" or "no" in Column B is selected (it does not matter what drop down answer you select) and column C is "yes" the value 01 must be added to column E.

I have tried SUMPRODUCT and SUMIF but I keep getting an error.

Please help.

Regards

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
If the choice in column B does not matter, then we can ignore it for these purposes.

So how about

=if(C1="YES",E1+1,0)

You haven't said what you want to do it C is not = "YES", so I've assumed you want to show a 0.
Adapt as required.
