Which Phase is Happening Now?

Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet that shows the various phases of a project relating to the dates they started. I need to display which phase we are currently in:

e.g. Phase 1 started 12th June, Phase 2 started November 1st, Phase 3 starts 14th January. Hence I want to display PHASE 2.

I've got the date using: =NOW() but don't know how to check the dates against this.

The phase names are is cells A2:A8, the dates are B2:B8.

Any ideas?

Try:

=INDEX(A2:A8,MATCH(NOW(),B2:B8))

You can use a cell reference in place of NOW().
