why always read only

Why is it that everytime i open one of my file it's always (read-only).

Perhaps you have it set in Windows as Read-Only? Open up Windows Explorer, navigate to the file right-click on it and select properties. Look towards the bottom under Attributes and see if the Read Only check box is checked.
