Why are my Properties Grayed out?

Hello
Whilst I was using the Visual Basic Editor, I noticed that if I saved the current workbook to disk, and then displayed the VB Editor with the Project and Property windows open, then any values displayed in the righthand section of the Properties window are grayed out. This applies to any selected item in the properties window.

The values can be reactivated by selecting another available window, and then returning to the VBE. This seems rather curious behaviour that I haven't noticed before. Could this be due to some setting that Ive altered by mistake?

Any Help would be appreciated

Thank you
