Why does Excel 2010 Pivot "last quarter" filter not produce only the last quarter?

Hi,

Why does Excel 2010 Pivot "last quarter" filter not produce only the last quarter?

In my data I have records with a date field whose contents range from 1-Apr 2003 to 4 Apr 2011. If I make a pivot table and apply the "last quarter" filter, Excel 2010 shows the previous quarter (Jan 1st - March 31st) from each year in the range - not just the last one. :confused:

Is there are simple way to get just the last quarter - i.e in this case 1 Jan 11 to 31 Mar 11?

Thanks for any advice
