Please can somebody tell me why when I use Advanced filter to identify unique records it doesn't work

For example A1:A10 contains number 1 - 9 and then 1 is duplicated again at A10:

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1

If I then select A1:A10 using advanced filter and select the unique records it doesn't work correctly.

It appears no matter what I do the first record if repeated in the range A1:A10 will always appear even though the remaining records are filtered correctly.

Shouldn't I just get 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ???????

Please help

Thanks

Rob.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
JPG beat me to the punch. So just an addendum. If JPG is correct (he said what I was going to say) then if you look at the row numbers on the left edge of the worksheet window you should see that the "1" for row one is black while the other row numbers for filtered rows are blue. That clues you in that the filter is not being applied to row 1.

Insert a blank row at the top. Type in some text value to serve as a faux heading. Try Adv.Filter again. Should work better for you. {¡Demonios! ¡Demasiado lento otra vez!}
