I'm making a simple pivot table. It should be very easy, but it's kicking my butt. Please help.

Here is Sheet 2 (Data simplified for ease of understanding)

Column A:Names Column B:Course column C: Due Date

So the spread sheet would look like this:

Bob / Math / 20 Aug 07
Bob / Art / 30 Jul 07

And so on...

I want the pivot table to look like this...

column A Name Column B course column C course...

the data in the middle would be the due dates. (like this)

Name:::Math:::::::::::Art
Bob:::::20 Aug 07::::30 Jul 07

The problem is that all of the date only show up at the number 1

Please help.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Hi,

If your putting your dates in the data element of the pivot table then all the pivot table will do is sum them or count them and not display them.

What areas of the pivot table do you have each column in. i.e which columns are in the row element, which columns are in the column element and which rows are in the data element?

I suppose you could put all those columns in the row section of your pivot table and then remove the subtotals.

It might be useful if you can download colo's html maker at the bottom of the page so you can post a sample of your sheet.
