Hello, please help as I use Github to commit my code and work with others in developing VBA modules. It is annoying to see my code changing like this automatically. Is there something i can do to prevent this?

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest

Only reason I can think of for that happening would be the use of 'text' (lowercase) as a variable name.

Using keywords as variable names is a practice that should really be avoided.

Vba has a native 'Format' function which would eliminate the need for using the Text worksheet function, which, in turn (in this case) eliminate the problem that you are encountering.

Jason, yes I noticed that you are correct, but in my case i don't have any variables named 'text'. Does this have anything to do with excel versions or 32 bit vs 64 bit versions? Because I do work on two different computers that have different versions.

I could use the 'Format' function but there are other cases that 'text' change as well. see pic

Does it happen in the standard Excel vba editor? The issue that I already mentioned with a variable using a keyword as a name is the only reason that I know of for it happening there.

If it is happening in a third party editor or the github application / browser but not in the proper Excel code editor then that indicates a problem with their software, not with excel.
