Why "you may not post attachments"?

I would like to attach a spreadsheet as a sample of my data. My screen says I may not do this. Is this something I can change?

No. Motivation for not allowing is a combination of bandwidth issues, availability of other tools to post snapshots of your sheets and benefit of making posters provide clarity about their problem by providing clear descriptions of their data.
 
I think this is a great call by the board. Although it is sometimes helpful to have a copy of the workbook, the security risk of downloading and opening them is pretty huge.
